Richard’s early career in consulting for a major multi-national business consultancy, where he specialised in information technology and customer service, enabled him to observe and experience first-hand workplace issues such as management styles, wellness and stress, work related trauma and resilience. He subsequently trained with the Contemporary College of Therapeutic Studies at Birkbeck University, then the Centre for Stress Management, Regent’s College, and Roehampton University.

As a practicing coach and qualified psychologist and cognitive behavioural therapist, he has advised organisations such as Google, Morgan Stanley, and Transport for London, Ernst & Young, The Priory and the City of London Police.

Alongside coaching and training, Richard uses his specialist skills Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), counselling, EMDR, psychotherapy to improve the organisational wellness and performance, resolve stress and trauma by using a combination of established and new techniques.

Richard is also recognised by the media where he is often asked for expert comments, having appeared on Sky 1, BBC Breakfast, Bloomberg, and Radio 5Live.
