What is relationship mediation?
Relationship mediation is when a trained professional, called a mediator, works with those whose relationship has broken down to help make necessary arrangements for a separation or divorce. Mediation also helps with all aspects of a relationship breakdown from property and finances, child maintenance and contact, to living arrangements.
This method helps settle disputes without having to go to court, allowing for smoother separation. But mediation to work, both parties need to be there as it can help reduce the level of conflict and tension, which can be particularly beneficial if there are children involved.

What is the role of a mediator?
As a mediator we can help assist and guide those involved towards a resolution. There is no judgement. We are here to offer unbiased and constructive direction. Our role is to remain impartial, hear all sides and help everyone involved find a solution they can all agree to.
Mediation helps improve communication and allows those involved to feel heard. It helps you to stay in control. It’s your time to express how you feel without arguments. It’s important to remember that no-one will make you do anything against your wishes.
We don’t decide the outcome for you but we do help the parties understand and focus on the important issues needed to reach a resolution. Mediation is there to help find a solution that everyone agrees with.
Is mediation just about relationships?

How is mediation different from relationship counselling?
Mediation usually requires both parties to be there. It’s a safe space for everyone to talk and deal with the issues and practicalities of separation. It can help reduce the level of conflict and tension between the parties which can be particularly beneficial if there are children involved. We will work closely with both of you to guide you through the process, set goals, and implement a workable solution.

How we help
We offer relationship mediation, therapy and counselling support for those going through separation or divorce. We understand every couple is different. That’s why we work to meet your unique set of circumstances and needs from an unbiased perspective. Our goal is to work in a smooth and calm manner to make sure both parties are satisfied.
We also offer a range of therapy and counselling services which you might find helpful including hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and talking therapies such as psychotherapy and counselling techniques.
How we provide it
We offer therapy & counselling sessions in person at our London offices, over the telephone and online. The sessions usually last from 30 minutes to an hour; and our courses usually consist of around 6 to 12 sessions.
