What is NLP?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a set of techniques that help to retrain your brain’s response to situations. By working with one of our NLP practitioners you’ll learn how to succeed in scenarios that might typically make you nervous or afraid. NLP therapy is a practical, results-focused approach, and is often combined with hypnotherapy for a successful treatment.NLP also works well as a therapy for young people and children. Because it looks at how a child might respond to an existing scenario we can then give that child the right NLP techniques to be able to handle it.

How does NLP therapy help?

NLP therapy can help you learn how to cope with a wide range of worrying or stressful scenarios. Perhaps you have an important interview coming up, or a presentation you are worried about, or it might be another setting you find stressful, like presenting to an audience. Outside the world of work, perhaps you need help coping with an important social event that you feel anxious about, for example. NLP can help with all these scenarios.Our NLP practitioners will work with you to teach you ways to retrain your responses to these kinds of situations so that you can be at your best, at all times.For example, in a stressful situation we might teach you how to use an NLP technique like anchoring, one that helps your brain access a different emotion, at will. This is the essence of NLP, training your brain to get you in a better state of mind when you need it most.Whilst NLP is an extremely useful form of treatment, we would never recommend using NLP as a standalone treatment for deep-rooted psychological problems like anxiety and depression.
